Atlantic Health

When Atlantic Health - a 1,200-bed system located in northern New Jersey - formed in 1998, it brought together two formerly competing stand-alone hospitals: Morristown Memorial Hospital, which specializes in cardiology, and Overlook Hospital, a center for neurologic treatment. Together, the two hospitals offer a wide range of services to patients, including pediatrics, cancer care and bariatric services. Atlantic Health is also the primary academic and clinical affiliate in New Jersey of Mount Sinai School of Medicine and The Mount Sinai Hospital, and is the official care provider for the New York Jets.

HCI Innovator Awards

In April, Healthcare Informatics hosted an event to honor the three healthcare organizations that were winners of the 2009 HCI Innovator Awards: Detroit Medical Center, Johns Hopkins Hospital, and BayCare Health System.
